This author when visiting the zone also witnessed the progress on the construction of the roads, as well as the land patches already purchased by the private developers for development in the future.

True to the current political environment, Mrs. Dikshit blamed the MCD for the road conditions, and said that the Delhi govt. is taking over more than 600 roads from the civic agency, to ensure uniform development of road infrastructure in Delhi. She also mentioned that the Delhi govt. would spend more than 400 crores in the development of these roads, and that the finance committee has already approved this capital spend. The PWD would take the assignment of repair, relay & widening of the major designated roads.

Dabas, who also initiated the public information website avers “Zone N, which is away from the flight path, and the zonal plans already planning high rise projects with higher FSI is ideally suited owing to the topography & soil, needs these roads to be completed before the end of the 2013-14 financial year, to facilitate international investors to invest large capital for urban projects”.
